How it works
Grading pays when what the graded card brings in, after the marketplace’s fee and postage, beats selling it raw plus PSA’s fee and shipping.
Not every card comes back a 10. Each grade is weighed by how likely it is: by default 35 of 100 pack-fresh cards get a 10, 45 a 9 and 20 an 8 or lower. Pick how your card looks, or set your own odds.
The PSA service follows the card’s value after grading, as PSA requires: a card that becomes a $2,000€1,777 PSA 10 goes in at Express, not Standard.
The verdict uses the same rule as our boxes: Grade it when you get back at least 10% more than you put in and fewer than half of cards like this lose money. When it only pays thanks to the 10s, it’s a toss-up.
Raw prices are today’s market prices from our box pages. For graded prices, check recent sales: they move faster than raw prices.
Estimates, not promises: no grade is ever certain, and prices move.
